NAPA VALLEY, Calif. — What an outstanding start we've had to 2024! In just the past week, hundreds of new subscribers have joined us, many enjoying our content for free. I extend a heartfelt welcome to each of you and thank you for becoming part of our ever-growing community. Let me share what Napa Valley Features stands for.

We're an ad-free, subscriber-funded online publication dedicated to delivering professional, objective news content that focuses on Napa Valley and beyond. Our coverage spans a diversity of topics, from the economics of the wine industry to the vibrant arts and culture scene, offering insights on local matters as well as broader issues, reflecting Napa Valley's diversity and significant role in the state's overall allure.

We aim to provide a sustainable, high-quality alternative to the increasingly precarious nature of media, often dominated or abandoned by distant companies uninterested in the wellbeing of the communities they serve. We tackle challenging topics head-on, free from the conflicts of interest inherent in ad-dependent models.

What to expect

Expect regular updates from me, at least once a week, along with near-daily contributions from over 30 other dedicated contributors. Our weekly schedule includes everything from industry deep dives and business profiles to gardening tips, health and wellness, and event rundowns with the Friday Weekender. Sundays often lean more contemplative or lighter with our E-dition. Starting in February, Saturdays will usher in exclusive content for our paid subscribers, providing early access and insights into economic trends, local happenings and more.
