This sounds like a great program and I look forward to listening to the podcast. We recently donated “The Napa - mobile podcast” + self guided trip (kayaks) to MENTIS, and also worked with New Tech High in 2019, hosting a group of high risk teens and mentors on the Napa River. We would like to support you with an annual or semi-annual kayak adventure. At NVP we recognize how important it is to connect with nature; getting on-water is one of the quickest ways to “unplug” from the sensory overload/new digital world. Particularly important for ADD, ADHD kids (and adults). And make friends! Let’s collaborate 707.200.5511

I agree that getting out on the water is a delightful and effective way to “unplug” from sensory overload. It is generous of you to offer to support the SHINE program through kayaks. Though I wrote the article about the program but I am not a part of it. Hopefully there will be some collaboration between you and the program in the near future.

Fascinating article on the SHINE program and podcast. Wonderful the Napa Valley Vintners are supporting such a much needed service. Between social media and Covid teens need resources to help their mental wellness. Hats off to a brave group of teens helping their community. Wonderful article.

I think the Napa Valley Vintners were both wise and generous to channel proceeds from the auction to funding youth mental health initiatives in Napa County. The teens creating the SHINEcast podcasts impressed me with their insight, courage and composure.

This article about Shinecast is amazing. I think these students are so honest and brave to publicly share their issues with the ability to help other teens with their own problems. Social media has made so many teens feel inadequate and invisible except to bully and insult them. These teens are hopefully serving as role models for other mental health programs to be formed and to serve the teen populations. I hope that one of the goals of this program will help to foster other teen programs, and I think many adults have these same issues. I look forward to listening to their podcasts. If I can be of some help to spread the information about this program to other groups of people who are in need, I would welcome the opportunity. Thse students deserve much praise and recognition for doing such essential work to support other people in need.
