Covenant Presbyterian Church on Salvador grows a ginormous garden every year. The annual 5,000 pounds of vegetables are donated to the food bank. It is planted, maintained and harvested 100% by only three (3) male volunteers. Additionally, plants are grown and donated by individuals who have greenhouses. Just thought it would make a good story. Could include the St John’s Lutheran garden as well. I can connect you: 707-333-4299
I don’t think people realize that it literally takes the whole village (or as my Mexican friend says, ‘All the beans in my burrito’) working together to feed everyone. It’s like we’re are own mini World Central Kitchen. I could send photos of the greenhouses already planted.
I will get back to you soon about writing an article for the register. right now i have another MG project that needs attention for a presentation next month. I have saved the information from you. Penny

Let me forward to my editor. Sounds like a wonderful project. Spring when plants are in would probably be best time so pictures could be included
I love the cartoon. Thank you Penny
