I live at 4.500 feet elevation in bear country. I mulch forest debris but do not compost. I will rake in some native plant seeds just before the snow and then use my mulch and biochar to cover the seeds to allow a robust germination in the spring.
No mention of ongoing deforestation in watersheds of City of Napa reservoirs for vineyard development. None. Silence. It's the gorilla in the room. The County of Napa approves these vineyards that impact surface waters, ground water, and reservoirs, which CITY OF NAPA residents depend on. More , much more watershed lands need to be protected from deforest and pesticide applications either by direct acquisition or thru permanent conservation easements.
Guess i had better get to work!!!!!
