Well, it is now Jan 3, and I am just finding your piece in Napa Valley Features from almost a month ago. What a great read. Congratulations on being a grandmother. So much fun ahead! Our twin grandchildren turn 31 on Friday, so the novelty has worn off, but they hold special places in our hearts and lives. Your telling about your grandmothers hit a note for me, making me think about my own, neither of whom I ever got much of a chance to know.
