I read your article with a good amount of nostalgia, Dave, as my (brief) career as a reporter at the Northern Virginia Sun ended when that daily newspaper in Arlington, Virginia ceased publishing in 1998. (While still in high school I contributed a weekly column about jazz in the Washington DC area.) I believe the Sun was one of the earliest papers to fall prey to the internet.
