(R) Brannan Center Fundraising Campaign Nears Goal
Brannan Center, set to open this fall as Calistoga’s new community gathering space and performing-arts venue, has raised more than $11 million toward construction and initial operating costs, with $1.5 million left to go. March 14, moonrise around 6:30 p.m. The March full moon, called the Worm Moon, coincides with a total lunar eclipse. During this event, Earth's shadow will completely cover the moon, creating a striking reddish hue known as a "Blood Moon." The name "Worm Moon" originates from the appearance of earthworms as the ground thaws in spring. This dual event is perfect for capturing stunning lunar shots.
