NAPA VALLEY, Calif. — Festival Napa Valley is ending, but next week the Music in the Vineyards chamber music festival starts. And if that’s not enough, the Blue Note Jazz Festival (really soul, rap, hip-hop and R&B) is next weekend at Silverado Resort. Yes, we have wine in Napa Valley, and we’ve also got music.
Festival Napa Valley’s season finale is on Sunday night, but there’s plenty to do before then. Remember that the daytime concerts are free, those in the evening only $35. The dance gala is sold out.
Bouchaine Young Artist Series presents the young Breshears String Quartet at 11 a.m. at the CIA at Copia on Saturday.
For opera lovers, the Manetti Shrem Opera on Saturday evening is Donizetti's rarely performed “Don Pasquale” at Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena.
Festival Napa Valley’s Season Finale with the Festival Orchestra Napa will be Sunday at 6 p.m. at Krug.
On a more popular level, Road Eleven and Marshall Law appear at Friday Nights in the Park in Veterans Park in Napa.
Moonshine in Calistoga shows classic films “Vertigo” Friday and “The Maltese Falcon” Sunday. They don’t take reservations, however.
Train plays the Oxbow RiverStage on Friday at 7 p.m.
Blue Note Summer Sessions presents One Night of Queen at the Meritage Resort on Friday at 8 p.m.
Smorgy & The Flat Top play in Beringer’s new Backyard series in St. Helena on Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
Blue Note Summer Sessions present comedian Heather McDonald at the Meritage on Saturday at 8 p.m.
Rock legend Neil Young appears at the Oxbow RiverStage on Sunday at 7 p.m.
JaM Cellars presents Scotty McCreery at The Uptown Theatre on Sunday at 8 p.m.

We Care Animal Rescue hosts Cats, Coffee and Classical Music Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon in St. Helena.
