Paul’s Picks for BottleRock weekend

BottleRock takes over not just Napa but Napa Valley this weekend. Little is happening unrelated to it, other than at music venues upvalley. BottleRock tickets are sold out, but some tickets may remain for after-shows at the JaM Cellars Ballroom in the Napa Valley Opera House or at the Uptown Theatre, including certified resale tickets. Most of my other picks for this weekend are parties before or after BottleRock that anyone can attend, although many will probably be very busy.
Be Bubbly BubbleRock
Napa’s Be Bubbly features its own BubbleRock with Bailey Callahan on Friday, hip-hop artist Oke Junior and DJ Ajani on Saturday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m, and a drag lunch on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. They’re $30 each or all three for $85.
Downtown Joe’s after-party
Downtown Joe’s in Napa is having a BottleRock after-party on Friday and Saturday with a DJ starting at 9:30 p.m.
Cadet after-parties
Cadet Wine & Beer Bar in Napa has special arrangements for wine and tequila plus a DJ starting at 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The cover is $25 at the door.
Clif Family
From Friday through Monday flash your BottleRock wristband at Clif Family in St. Helena and enjoy 10% off all wine and food, including from the Clif Family Bruschetteria Food Truck.
Chateau Buena Vista’s Crocodile BottleRock
Chateau Buena Vista will be open for the Crocodile BottleRock all weekend with
wine cocktails as well as Champagne and wine available by the glass or bottle. Music by BottleRock artists on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a daytime dance party and live DJ from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It’s free to attend.
Brunch at Meritage Resort
The Meritage Resort is offering a BottleRock brunch on the Village Lawn on Saturday through Monday with a breakfast corner, omelet and avocado toast stations, and a mimosa and bloody mary bar. The cost is $35.
Napa Noodles
Napa Noodles, Red Bull and 19 Crimes present a festival pre-’game’ patio party with a DJ at the downtown Napa restaurant on Saturday, May 27, and Sunday, May 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Napario
Napario on the river in Napa will host an ’8os music VIP dance after-party on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Enjoy classic rock, new wave, power pop, disco, funk and punk by DJ Zhenyok Chem Brat. Tickets are $20 or $25 at the door.
Outer Space Wine
Outer Space Wine in Napa offers live music and wine Friday and Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m. Aaron Pollard will play tracks from rock icons and his original music until 10:30 p.m. Outer Space will offer wine cocktails and wines by the glass. The $10 cover will be applied to your bar tab.
Solage
Solage resort in Calistoga is having a BottleRock after-party on Saturday, May 27, from 10 p.m. to midnight.
If you want something completely different
Check out jazz singer Elaine Jennings at The Saint in St. Helena from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday or at her usual gig on Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hydro Grill in Calistoga.
