NAPA VALLEY, Calif. — The Crystal Fire, the first significant wildfire of 2024 in Napa Valley, has rekindled concerns for the region. This fire has reburned portions of the landscape previously scorched during the 2020 Glass Fire. Situated just east of Silverado Trail and south of Calistoga, the blaze has prompted swift action from firefighting crews, successfully halting its forward progress.

The CAL FIRE Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit and Napa County Fire Department are currently managing a 60-acre vegetation fire near Crystal Springs Road, St. Helena. The fire's forward progress has been stopped, with no changes in acreage or containment reported as of the last update. Fire personnel will remain on the scene to conduct mop-up operations, and Air Attack and a copter remain overhead.
