Rayna, be very careful where you allow a mimosa to grow. I have one and while I have some appreciation for its exotic character, I am often cursing it as it is by far the messiest tree! Crazy messy. Best in a place where the mess doesn't matter and you don't have to clean after it daily. I am only doing weekly cleanups because I don't have time for daily, so I am constantly living with it's mess. And I am one who is fine leaving leaves as mulch. So if I am bothered by it, anyone will be. Just sayin'. I enjoyed your article, thank you.
